TODAY'S ASSIGNMENT!

1. Log In to a computer. Each person should have their own computer. 2. In the Pope Applications menu, open up the program titled HORTICOPIA A TO Z. 3. Horticopia is a huge plant encyclopedia program with 28,000 plants listed! 4. Next, refer to the handout titled HORTICOPIA PLANT SEARCH. From hear, you will research each plant listed and write down your findings in the blanks. 5. TIP!! Notice on the Horticopia home page you will see a little box that says "Common Name, Latin Name". If you will RIGHT CLICK on this box, you can change the search feature to COMMON NAME or BOTANICAL NAME. Choose COMMON NAME. 6. Finally, after you have completed all the research, select FIVE plants to copy and paste photos onto a clipboard. From here you can now print out a page with those five small photos. Glue the small photos to the back of this work sheet and you ARE DONE! 7. WHEN YOU ARE DONE, YOU CAN HAVE YOUR SCORE CARD SIGNED FOR 100 BOOGIE BUCKS! WAY TO GO!
